The Newborn Traffic Light Tool

About this course: The Newborn Traffic Light Tool is a 2-sided poster serving as a clinical advocacy tool for caregivers - both parents and clinical staff - to use as prioritised mindful guidance during painful and stressful interventions. This module will introduce you to the Newborn Traffic Light Tool so that it may be used consistently and effectively across organisations. Originally devised as a NICU tool, the module has a focus on the NICU experience, however learnings can be utilised within multiple health care settings.

Intended audience: Health care professionals working with newborn infants. Recommended for NICU, HDU, and SCN nurses, PICU nurses, paediatric health care professionals working with infants, Maternal Child Health Nurses, community nurses, midwives, doctors and allied health professionals.
