Meeting health needs for children in care

About: Join us for an Education Day, specially designed for health professionals dedicated to the care of children in state care. This event focuses on community caregivers and features insights from leading experts in vulnerable child health, family violence, social work, trauma-informed preventive care, and children's bioethics. Don't miss this opportunity to enhance your knowledge and make a difference in the lives of these children.

This course will be delivered face-to-face and online at The Royal Children's Hospital on Thursday 17th October and will commence at 10am.

We strongly encourage you to attend the day onsite to allow audience participation.

This program is being recorded and recording will be available for 90 days.

Course outline:

·              The rollout of The Pathway to Good Health for children in care

·              The Child Information Sharing Scheme

·              The Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme

·              Trauma Informed Preventative Care

·              Healthcare of children in child protection

·              Ethical considerations of providing healthcare to children in care 

·              Panel of professional and lived experience experts

Date: Thursday 17th October (enrolment closes on Tuesday 15th October @ 12noon for onsite and Wed 16th Oct @ 12noon for virtual)

Time: 10am to 4.30pm

Where: Ella Latham Auditorium, Ground Floor, The Royal Children's Hospital.

Intended audience: All Health Professionals

Cost: 

Onsite: $200 + GST

Virtual: $150 + GST 

CPD Points: 6 hours of education activities towards your CPD log.
