Community of Practice in Early Childhood Development and Mental Health
About: What are some examples of early childhood development and mental health concerns you encounter in your MCH role? In other words, what is it about the biological, emotional, and psychological development of children you support that would be beneficial to explore further with peers in a supportive and encouraging environment?
This series of four (one hour) on-line sessions will provide you an opportunity to discuss and reflect on components of your work with children and parents with your colleagues. You will have an opportunity to influence the topics and case scenarios that are explored in these sessions. The sessions will be externally facilitated.

Point-of-Care Ultrasound in Paediatric Acute Care
Our Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) program was created following a generous grant from the Royal Children's Hospital's Foundation. The POCUS program has developed a hospital wide training and credentialing framework for diagnostic point-of-care ultrasound.
We would like to freely share materials developed by RCH's POCUS program, which we hope will assist clinicians while they care for their paediatric patients. We continue to develop paediatric specific POCUS materials which will be added when completed.
Please note that these on-line materials, when used at RCH, form only part of our teaching, which also includes practical workshops and a minimum number of educational scans before clinicians can be credentialed to independently perform and report diagnostic POCUS examinations.
The materials presented here may be of interest to clinicians who care for children in acute care settings. You can choose to join as many, or as few, as you like.
